Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic salt. Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of each hoagie roll.
- Bake the hoagie rolls in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the bread is lightly toasted and golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside.
- While the rolls are toasting, cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the finely chopped onion to the skillet with the beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the garlic powder, yellow mustard, ketchup, kosher salt, black pepper, and water. Simmer the mixture for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Spoon the sloppy joe mixture generously over the toasted hoagie rolls.
- Top each roll with a mixture of shredded mozzarella and sharp cheddar cheese.
- Return the topped rolls to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.
