White Chocolate Limoncello Truffles

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (525g) white chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz or 396g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon yellow food coloring (optional)
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) limoncello liqueur
  • 2 cups (240g) confectioners’ sugar, plus extra for rolling

Directions:

    Melt the Chocolate :

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and yellow food coloring (if using).
  2. Microwave on medium power in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  3. Incorporate Flavors :

  4. Stir in the lemon zest and limoncello liqueur until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the 2 cups of confectioners’ sugar, mixing until a thick, dough-like consistency forms.
  6. Chill the Mixture :

  7. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the mixture to firm up.
  8. Form the Truffles :

  9. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  10. Scoop out heaping teaspoon-sized portions of the chilled mixture and roll them into balls.
  11. Roll each ball in additional confectioners’ sugar to coat.
  12. Place the coated truffles on the prepared baking sheet.
  13. Set the Truffles :

  14. Refrigerate the truffles for an additional hour to ensure they are fully set before serving.
